Jon Enroth

Hello,

My name is Jon Enroth.  I have forty years of painting experience, and I do both interior and exterior painting.  During the summer months I paint five or six houses by hand.  It takes me about a month to paint a house because I do all of the prep work that is a such a crucial component of a quality paint job.  I take the time to sand loose paint, caulk cracks and knot holes, and prime all bare wood surfaces before they are painted with the best quality paint, Benjamin Moore.  And I do not use Benjamin Moore's "painter grade" paint.  I use their best paint.  It simply does not make sense to try to save money on paint and get cheap paint, when the paint is only 10 - 15% of the total cost of the job using the best quality paint available.

I have lived in Mill Creek for eighteen years.  When I paint a house there is no taping windows, and noisy and messy spraying.  I call spraying "coloring" a house, not painting it.  Everyone has seen the painters that descend on a house, tape all of the windows, spray the house in one day, and then take another day or two to roll the trim.  If you just want your paint job done quickly, these are your guys.  But be mindful of the fact that the paint is usually a "painters grade" paint that is designed to cover in one coat, not to last ten plus years.  Then the painters thin the paint with water so it will atomize correctly.  The result is not a job that I could be proud of.  Five years after a house is sprayed the paint will be chalky looking.  Five years after I have hand painted a house, it looks like it has been recently painted, retaining its low lustre finish.

Here are a few photos of houses that I have painted in Mill Creek.
